About this position

The Department of Management, Society and Communication (MSC) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher for a position in Consumer Behaviour and Sustainability. This role is part of the international TIPRO project, a Horizon Europe partnership involving KU Leuven, Wageningen University & Research, and food sector partners in Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The project aims to accelerate the transition towards sustainable food systems by identifying leverage points in food consumption, distribution, and policy.

At CBS, the postdoc will join the Consumer and Behavioural Insights Group, focusing on the design, execution, and analysis of experimental consumer research. The research will test interventions to change consumer behaviour across various food environments. The position is supervised by Associate Professor Meike Janssen and may involve collaboration on related projects and grant acquisition.

Applicants should have a PhD in consumer behaviour, marketing, psychology, behavioural economics, food sciences, or related fields. Required qualifications include professional proficiency in English and experience with consumer experiments and quantitative statistical analysis. Project management experience and proficiency in Danish and/or Dutch are advantageous but not required. The position is based in Copenhagen, with a flexible start date in April 2026.

The postdoc appointment is non-tenured for 29 months, extendable to 36 months if teaching is included. Salary and terms are set by the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Central Academic Organisation. CBS is committed to diversity and encourages all qualified candidates to apply. Application materials must include a cover letter, publication list, up to five selected publications, documentation of research experience, transcripts, and a full CV. Applications are submitted via the CBS electronic recruitment system by 16 February 2026.

For further information, contact Associate Professor Meike Janssen at [email protected]. More details about the department and research group can be found on the CBS website.
