Western Sydney University is advertising a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in sustainable construction and decarbonisation, based at the Penrith (Kingswood) campus in Sydney, Australia. The role sits in the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment and is part of an Australian Research Council-funded project.

The research focus includes recycled concrete technologies, low-carbon cement solutions, and broader construction sector decarbonisation. The successful candidate will contribute across the full research lifecycle, including research design, data analysis, publication, grant development, and student supervision. The position also involves collaboration with academic, industry, and government partners, with an emphasis on practical, evidence-based solutions for sustainable infrastructure.

This is a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral appointment at Academic Level A. The salary is AUD 97,153–117,376 per annum, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. The post is especially relevant to researchers in civil engineering, materials science, environmental science, and related areas of sustainable construction.
