Virtual testing of patient-specific maxilla-facial implants University of Leeds in United Kingdom

A fully-funded PhD scholarship is available at the University of Leeds, focusing on the biomechanics of medical implants, specifically virtual testing of patient-specific maxilla-facial implants. The project is in collaboration with Attenborough Medical and will combine experimental testing and computational modelling to develop in silico tools for preclinical validation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Pete Watson, Marlène Mengoni, Sophie Williams, and Flavia Pires Rodrigues, and be based at iMBE Leeds.

Funding is available for UK citizens only and covers 3.5 years of study. Applicants should have a strong background in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, with experience in experimental and computational techniques considered advantageous.
