10 Fully Funded PhD Positions in Mathematics at University of Padova University of Padova in Italy

Università degli Studi di Padova is advertising 10 fully funded PhD positions in Mathematics for the 2026/2027 cycle. The call is open to all areas of mathematics, including probability and mathematical finance, and admitted candidates may have the opportunity to pursue a joint PhD with a foreign European institution.

The programme starts on 1 November 2026 and lasts 3 years. Applicants of any nationality are eligible if they hold a second-cycle degree (or expect to obtain it by 30 September 2026) or a single-cycle degree of at least four years.

Selection is based on CV, recommendation letters, a motivational letter, and an interview for shortlisted candidates. Top-ranking candidates may also be considered for the Galilean School of Higher Education, which can provide additional benefits such as free board, lodging, and generous research funding.
