About this position

Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University is seeking four PhD candidates in Business Administration for full-time, fully funded positions starting September 1, 2026. As a PhD student, you will engage in advanced coursework and doctoral thesis research, with 80% of your time dedicated to studies and 20% to teaching and administrative tasks. The research focus areas include entrepreneurship, ownership, and renewal, and candidates are expected to align their interests with at least one of JIBS' interdisciplinary research centres: Media, Management and Transformation Centre (MMTC), Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO), and Centre for Entrepreneurship and Spatial Economics (CEnSE).

Research topics span new technologies and media, entrepreneurship and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, family business governance, ownership implications, strategy, governance, and accounting across ownership forms, and the entrepreneurial life cycle. The positions offer competitive salaries and opportunities for personal and professional development, including teaching skill enhancement.

Applicants must hold (or soon obtain) a Master’s degree, have at least 240 ECTS credits (with 60 at the second-cycle level), and 90 ECTS credits in Business Administration. Fluency in English is required.
