The University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) in France announces the first call for its Horizon Europe MSCA-COFUND REACH-UPPA Postdoctoral Programme, offering 5 positions for outstanding early-career researchers. This prestigious programme, co-funded by the European Union, is designed to foster interdisciplinary research across physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, and social sciences & humanities. Fellows will conduct research aligned with UPPA’s priority areas, which span mathematics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental science, biology, law, economics, history, literature, and more.

Each postdoctoral researcher will receive a competitive salary (€3,500 gross per month, estimated net €2,880 before income tax), a mobility allowance (up to €10,000), a travel allowance (up to €10,000), and a research cost budget (€30,000 for non-experimental sciences, €60,000 for experimental sciences). Fellows will also be allocated a PhD position, co-supervised with a senior supervisor, and will undertake a mandatory secondment of 3–6 months at a partner institution. The programme includes tailored training, workshops, and the development of a Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP).

Eligibility requires a PhD degree (or equivalent), up to 3 years of postdoctoral experience, at least one publication as main author from doctoral work, and compliance with the MSCA mobility rule (not residing in France for more than 12 months in the past 36 months). Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency (minimum B2 level) and submit their application using the provided templates.
