We are looking for a highly motivated and quantitative researcher to join the School of Geography & Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews as part of the Edwards Scholarship competition.

?? Project: "Advancing environmental monitoring through data fusion methods to link UAV multispectral data with ground sensors for native vegetation classification in subtropical areas."
?? This PhD will focus on developing cutting-edge data fusion techniques to integrate UAV multispectral imagery with ground-based spectrometry, with key applications in agriculture and ecosystem monitoring.

?? Start date: September 2025
?? Funding: Full PhD scholarship, including:
? Tax-free stipend (£19,237 per year)
? Tuition fee waiver (including international students)
? Research support funding
?? Open to candidates of any nationality with a strong background in spatial data science, remote sensing, or related fields.
