We are looking for a motivated and ambitious PhD candidate to join our team at the Institut Jules Bordet / ULB for a research project focused on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
?? Project Highlights
The PhD project, titled:
?? "Optimisation of PDAC treatment through the application of multimodal data and advanced AI methods",
aims to build interpretable AI models that integrate imaging, histopathology, transcriptomics, and clinical data to uncover predictive biomarkers and therapeutic response signatures.
You will join a multidisciplinary environment of data scientists, physicians,m clinicians, and biomedical researchers, working with a unique, multimodal database of PDAC patients and access to prospective clinical trial samples.
?? We are looking for candidates with:
? MSc in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, or similar
? Strong coding skills (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
? Interest or background in AI, medical imaging, or bioinformatics
? Excellent communication skills in English
? A collaborative mindset and curiosity across disciplines
?? The position is based at the ERASME campus (ULB, Brussels) in close collaboration with top clinical and translational research units.
