I'm hiring for multiple PhD positions in AI at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, FL, USA for Spring/Fall 2025. Students will be working at the forefront of AI/ML research, with projects relating to (1) AI/ML Safety, (2) Multimodal Generative AI, (3) Generative AI for Social Media Harm Mitigation, and (4) Cooperative AI systems. The research group will aim for publications in top-tier AI/ML venues: ICLR, NeurIPS, ACL, EMNLP, ICML, etc.All projects are fully funded and constitute collaborations with UC Davis, Johns Hopkins University, Mozilla Foundation.
