Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Economics at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL Université Paris Dauphine in France

The Department of Economics at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL is inviting applications for two permanent tenured Assistant Professor positions (Maître de Conférences) starting in September or October 2026. The positions are open to all fields of Economics, with research areas such as data science, econometrics, finance, health economics, and development economics being particularly relevant. The successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the Bachelor and Master levels, covering topics like data science, time series econometrics, macroeconometrics, financial econometrics, regulation of the health system, financial microeconomics, corporate finance, market finance, and macroeconomics of development.

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Economics by December 15, 2025. Those with a PhD from a French university must hold the 'Qualification' at the time of hire. The selection process emphasizes the quality and ambition of the research program and the candidate's ability to publish in leading journals. Teaching can be conducted in French or English, but the recruited person is expected to be able to teach in French within four years after hiring. Mastery of conversational French is considered an asset.

The annual salary ranges from 25,000 to 40,000 Euros after taxes, depending on experience and qualifications. A reduced teaching load is offered during the first three years (50% exemption in the first year, 33% in the next two years). The teaching load is 128 hours per year. The Department will organize 'Days at LEDa' on April 7 & 8, 2026, where candidates can present their job market paper and interact with department members.
