The newly established research group led by Distinguished Chair Professor Mark Rümmeli is recruiting an Associate Professor / 副教授 to work on nanomaterials, electrochemical energy storage, and related topics such as electrode materials, carbon nanostructures, lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and beyond-lithium energy storage technologies. Related backgrounds in materials science, chemistry, physics, or engineering are welcome.

Eligibility highlights: a PhD is required; a strong publication record in high-impact journals is expected; and around two years of postdoctoral experience is typical. Teaching duties include at least 2 credits per year. Because the laboratories are newly established, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape the instrumentation and research direction of the facility.

Funding and benefits: base salary is 250,000–300,000 RMB per year, with additional project and publication rewards. Research support is available according to the AHNU tier system, and a settling-in allowance is included. Candidates may also be eligible for the Wuhu city Ziyunying talent scheme, which may provide housing subsidies or a monthly living allowance, subject to eligibility.
