Prof Basilicata's research explores investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying rare # neurodevelopmental # disorders (NDDs) using a variety of methods including # CRISPR engineering, high-resolution # microscopy , multi-omics approaches, and both 2D and 3D # embryonic # stem # cell # cultures . Her lab is part of the Division of Physiological Chemistry, headed by Prof Andreas Ladurner.
In a recent interview, she shared what fascinates her about this work, why she chose to move to the BMC, and what new team members can look forward to when joining her group.
