About this position
Celebrating CONNECT’s Major Milestone: Securing Over RM1 Million in Industry Grant for Clean Energy Innovation at PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue 2023 I'm truly honored to have been the sole recipient from Xiamen University Malaysia (hashtag#XMUM) of a prestigious grant of over RM1 million during the PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue (hashtag#PACD) 2023, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 19 Aug 2024. This award recognizes our groundbreaking project titled "Solar-powered artificial photosynthesis of CO2 for GHG reduction from flaring onshore gas terminals", aimed at tackling one of the most pressing global challenges - reducing CO2 emissions. This milestone would not have been possible without the support from PETRONAS as well as the collaborative efforts of my entire team at Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (hashtag#CONNECT), Xiamen University Malaysia. A special thanks to Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud, and Senior Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management, PETRONAS, Datuk Ir. Bacho Pilong, for presenting this prestigious award. I want to acknowledge my colleagues who attended the ceremony - Prof. Chen Binghui (Dean of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering) and Dr. Khairun Nisa Binti Mihat (Manager of Research and Postgraduate Center). To my top management of Xiamen University Malaysia, thanks for their unwavering support in my research efforts at CONNECT for the past 3 years.
