Dr. Nicholas H. Nelsen, incoming Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, is recruiting PhD students and postdocs to join his research team starting in Fall 2026.

The group is affiliated with the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences and the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. Research focuses on the mathematical and statistical foundations of scientific machine learning, with applications in accelerating simulation, inversion, and decision-making for complex physical systems under uncertainty.
