TTU is looking for Ph.D. students motivated to work in distributed machine learning, intelligent systems, network design, and secure AI infrastructure, starting in Spring 2025.
Dr. Zulkar Nine's research group, Distributed Al and Systems Laboratory (DAISL@TTU), is accepting prospective Ph.D. students in the interdisciplinary areas of distributed machine learning, intelligent system and network design, and sustainable and secure Al infrastructure. These research positions are fully funded (tuition fees and monthly stipend). Students holding a M.S. in computer science (or related fields) are highly encouraged to apply. However, students with a B.S. who have high research potential can also apply. GRE can be waived for students with a B.S. or M.S. from the USA.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.S. in computer science or engineering
• Knowledge and background in related fields
• Skills in machine learning, Python, Tensorflow, PyTorch,
Large Language Models
• Understanding of basic reinforcement learning, federated learning, and distributed machine learning
• System-level programming, network programming
• Departmental GRE and IELTS/TOFEL
requirements (when applicable)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• M.S. in computer science or computer engineering
• Prior research publications
• Experience in reinforcement learning model design

Funding details
