I am delighted to share that we are now recruiting six PhD students to join the HEA-funded Cyber-Unite Project.
?? What is Cyber-Unite?
Cyber-Unite is a landmark research project funded under the HEA North-South Research Programme. The project led by University of Limerick (Ireland) and Queens University Belfast (QUB) and partners Munster Technological University (MTU) and University College Cork (UCC), aims to secure cross-border critical infrastructure by advancing resilient, adaptive and trustworthy cybersecurity solutions.
?? What positions are Munster Technological University offering:
Munster Technological University (MTU) are specifically recruiting for two PhD positions in cyber digital twins, cyber resilience and future networks.
- PhD1: Cyber Digital Twin to enhance the resilience and security of Cyber Physical Systems.
- PhD2: Zero Trust Policy Enforcement for Future Networks.
Applicants should have a strong foundation in cybersecurity, AI, virtualization (PhD1) and networking (PhD2). Supervisors include Dr George O Mahony and Dr Dylan Smyth.

Entry Requirements: BSc or BEng (Honours) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering
Stipend: €25,000 per annum
Duration: 4 years
Supports: PhD fees, laptop, travel, and consumables fully covered
Host Institutions: UL, UCC, MTU, or QUB
