Although some time has passed, I’m thrilled to share that my research proposal, "Deciphering the effect of load sequence in concrete fatigue: An interleaved numerical-experimental methodology," has been funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation ! I'm grateful and proud to lead this project as Principal Investigator, in collaboration with Prof. Martin Classen ( Institute of Structural Concrete at RWTH Aachen University ).
Together, we’re combining advanced modeling approaches and experimental characterization methods to tackle the complex effects of loading sequences and the stochastic nature of fatigue loading for lifetime prediction of critical infrastructure.
At my new institute, the Institut für Baumechanik und Numerische Mechanik (IBNM) at Leibniz Universität Hannover , I’m excited to advance this research and explore new directions together with Prof. Fadi Aldakheel .
? Stay tuned! In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing a PhD/Postdoc position as part of this project. If you’re passionate about computational mechanics, multiscale modeling, machine learning and concrete fatigue, this could be your opportunity to join our team!
