The Corporate Reporting and Assurance Group within the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Taxation at Ghent University is offering a fully funded PhD position in Business Economics. This doctoral fellowship is part of a new research project funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO), focusing on the economic consequences of sustainability reporting regulation. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and stimulating research environment, working towards a doctoral degree while contributing to impactful research in corporate finance, accounting, and business economics.

The position is full-time, initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months following a positive evaluation. The fellowship amount is 100% of the net salary of an AAP member, determined by family status and seniority, and is free of personal income tax. Applicants must hold a master's degree in economics, business economics, business engineering, complementary studies in business economics, or an equivalent degree by September 2026. Strong academic qualifications at both bachelor’s and master’s levels, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and teamwork abilities, and proficiency in English are required. Candidates must be prepared to work in Ghent, Belgium.
