About this position

The Corporate Reporting and Assurance Group within the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Taxation at Ghent University is offering a fully funded PhD position in Business Economics. This doctoral fellowship is part of a new research project funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO), focusing on the economic consequences of sustainability reporting regulation. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and stimulating research environment, working towards a doctoral degree while contributing to impactful research in corporate finance, accounting, and business economics.

The position is full-time, initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months following a positive evaluation. The fellowship amount is 100% of the net salary of an AAP member, determined by family status and seniority, and is free of personal income tax. Applicants must hold a master's degree in economics, business economics, business engineering, complementary studies in business economics, or an equivalent degree by September 2026. Candidates must be prepared to work in Ghent, Belgium.
