Ghent University invites applications for a full-time doctoral fellow position in the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance and Taxation. The successful candidate will dedicate at least 90% of their assignment to academic research in preparation for a doctoral dissertation in corporate taxation. Additional responsibilities include assisting with teaching activities for bachelor and master students, as well as supporting internal and external departmental services. The position is based in the EB22 Department, which specializes in financial economics, corporate finance, tax law, business administration, and business economics.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Economics, Business Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent diploma by the start of appointment. Excellent academic results are considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in academic and/or project-based research and services, with a clear intention to pursue a PhD in taxation. Strong didactic and communication skills are required.
The fellowship is offered as a full-time position, initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 4 years following a positive evaluation. The fellowship amount corresponds to 100% of the net salary of an AAP member, adjusted for family status and seniority, and is exempt from personal income tax.
