This is a six-year paid research and teaching associate position at the Institute for Human Resource Management, focused on contextual HRM and how technical and social developments influence work and people management in organizations.
The role is suitable for candidates with a diploma/master’s degree in a social science or business discipline, such as business administration, management, or sociology, who are eligible for doctoral enrollment at WU.
Research focus: empirical projects and academic publications in contextual HRM, with opportunities to write a dissertation on a topic related to your interests. The position also includes conference participation, networking, teaching, student advising, and administrative tasks.
Requirements: strong knowledge of HRM, organizations, work and labor relations; quantitative and/or qualitative research methods; familiarity with tools such as R, SPSS, Stata, MAXQDA, NVivo, or Atlas; excellent German and English; and willingness to teach in both languages.
Funding and conditions: part-time 30 hours/week, starting 2026-10-01 and ending after 6 years. The minimum monthly gross salary is €2,832.08 (14 times per year), with possible adjustment based on prior experience, plus social benefits and campus perks.
