The University of Luxembourg invites applications for a doctoral researcher position in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. The doctoral researcher will prepare a thesis in criminal law or criminal procedure, with the option to focus on national, European, or international perspectives. Candidates are encouraged to propose their own research topics within these fields, and the thesis can be written in French or English. The position includes the possibility of a cotutelle agreement with another university and involves providing educational support in Leuven and Hasselt, as well as contributing to teaching activities.

The research group comprises several doctoral and postdoctoral researchers working on related topics, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment. Supervision will be provided by Professor Silvia Allegrezza, a leading expert in the field. Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Law or equivalent, with specialization in criminal law and/or criminal procedure considered an asset. Candidates should be willing to develop teaching abilities and demonstrate teamwork skills. Language proficiency at B2 level in the thesis language (French or English) is required, with accepted certificates as specified by the university.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 36 months, full-time (40 hours per week), located at the Weicker Building. The yearly gross salary for doctoral researchers is EUR 43445.
