About this position

The University of Oulu, a leading multidisciplinary and international research university in Finland, is seeking a Doctoral Researcher in Philosophy for a project focused on early modern philosophy, with particular emphasis on metaphysics, theories of cognition, and epistemology. The position is part of the project 'Epistemic Resilience and the Foundations of Cognition: A Study in Early Modern Philosophy,' funded by the Eudaimonia Institute. As a doctoral researcher, you will join a vibrant research group, contribute to project-related tasks, and undertake a small amount of teaching. You will be encouraged to develop your international research profile by presenting at conferences and publishing in prominent journals.

The role is full-time, fixed-term for three years, with a starting gross salary of approximately 2600-3200 € per month, based on Finnish university salary scales and personal performance. Applicants must have a completed Master’s degree in Philosophy, excellent English skills, and eligibility for the University of Oulu Graduate School doctoral training programme.
