The Department of Land Surveying – Property Science and Geodesy at KTH Royal Institute of Technology is seeking a doctoral student for the project 'Efficiency Improvement of Track Measurements,' funded by the Swedish Transport Administration. The research focuses on designing and evaluating GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) measurement methods to meet requirements for determining track position, with collaboration from RISE and the Swedish Transport Administration. As a PhD student, you will work closely with Prof. Milan Horemuz and a supervisor from the Swedish Transport Administration. Strong knowledge in geodesy (including GNSS and reference systems), physics (especially electromagnetic signal propagation), and statistics is required. Proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written) is mandatory for daily work, alongside English proficiency equivalent to English B/6. Meritorious qualifications include work experience in geodesy, academic publishing, participation in research projects, teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and programming skills. Personal attributes such as goal orientation, perseverance, independence, collaboration, professionalism, and analytical ability are highly valued.

The doctoral student will be employed for up to four years, with the possibility of renewal according to KTH's regulations. The position may require a security clearance depending on classification.
