I’m recruiting a PhD student to join me at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD) as part of Birkbeck, University of London 's Diversity100 studentship scheme. The PhD will be part of an exciting project funded by Wellcome Trust - using cutting-edge multimodal neuroimaging to investigate early brain development. This is a great opportunity to be part of innovative research at the intersection of brain metabolism and cognitive development.

What's required

Applicants must qualify for Home fees and belong to one of the specified Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic groups. Both new PhD students starting in Autumn 2025 and current Birkbeck PhD students with at least 50% research remaining are eligible. Candidates should have a strong academic background or demonstrate exceptional research potential through professional, community, or practice-based experience. A completed PhD programme application (including a research proposal) and a Diversity100 application form are required. Additional requirements may apply depending on the chosen PhD programme; refer to the relevant prospectus for details.
