PhD Opportunities at CoMPAS Lab, Applied Mechanics Department, IIT Delhi!

At CoMPAS Lab, we are looking for 2-3 PhD students to join our research group in computational mechanics, with a focus on microstructure-sensitive fatigue analysis.

?? About CoMPAS Lab
CoMPAS stands for Computational Mechanics for Prognosis, Analysis, and Design of Engineering Systems. Our lab specializes in computational solid mechanics, leveraging finite element methods (FEM) to tackle complex engineering challenges.

?? Our Research Focus
Our current research revolves around microstructure-sensitive fatigue modeling using crystal plasticity finite element methods (CPFEM). Beyond FEM, we are keen on integrating machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to:
? Accelerate simulations ??
? Extract deeper insights from complex material behavior ??
? Enhance predictive modeling capabilities ??

?? Join Our Voyage!
PhD is a marathon, not a sprint - it requires commitment, discipline, and a strong advisor-student synergy. If you are passionate about computational mechanics, AI-driven fatigue modeling, and interdisciplinary problem-solving, let’s connect!

?? Interested? Let’s Talk!
?? Email: [email protected]
?? LinkedIn: Feel free to message me!

?? If you’re interested in joining IIT Delhi, you’ll need to formally apply and go through the required tests and/or interviews.
