Full-time Research and Teaching Position in Contemporary History (PhD) Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium

The Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) invites applications for a full-time research and teaching position in contemporary history, based in Brussels, Belgium. This opportunity is designed for candidates seeking to pursue a PhD dissertation in Early Modern or contemporary history, with research activities conducted within the Mondes modernes et contemporains (MMC) or Sociétés anciennes, médiévales et modernes (sociAMM) research centres. Teaching duties (50% of the mandate) involve assisting in the supervision of students enrolled in history courses, contributing to the academic life of the department, and supporting the development of future historians. Applicants must hold a Master (120) degree in History and demonstrate excellent proficiency in French, with basic skills in English and Dutch.
