The Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is offering a full-time research and teaching assistant position in international law at its International Law Center. This PhD assistantship is an interim mandate for the academic years 2026–2028, with the possibility of renewal for additional two-year terms. The position is designed for candidates interested in preparing a doctoral dissertation project while contributing to teaching and logistical tasks within the Faculty of Law.

The assistant will engage in research activities focused on international law, Belgian law, and public law, and will be expected to develop a PhD thesis project. Teaching responsibilities include supporting courses in Belgian law and public international law, as well as participating in exam monitoring and university commissions. Logistical duties involve maintaining the International Law Center’s website and providing service to the Faculty and University.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in law, preferably with an LLM in International Law. Proficiency in French (native or excellent) and English (excellent) is required.
