Fully funded PhD and postdoc positions are open at the University of Granada within the EU project CEREBRA-AI, focused on continual learning, explainable AI, embodied AI, and neurosymbolic AI for trustworthy general-purpose AI.

The positions are hosted at the Andalusian Data Science Institute (DaSCI) / Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, with work on-site in Granada, Spain. The project emphasizes hybrid neurosymbolic reasoning, continual-learning orchestration, embodied and relational interfaces, and a trust framework covering explainability, provenance, fairness auditing, uncertainty handling, and AI Act-aligned compliance.

Funding: The post states the roles are fully funded, with approximate gross monthly salaries of about 3,000 EUR for the PhD position and 3,500 EUR for the postdoc position. The project duration is 4 years, with contracts around 46–47 months.

Eligibility: Applicants should have a degree, master's, or PhD in computer engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field such as mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering.
