Fully funded PhD opportunity at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) under the Dr. T.M.A. Pai PhD Fellowship.

The project is centered on marine geology, paleoceanography, environmental magnetism, and climate change, with a specific focus on the Arabian Sea. Research themes include magnetofossils, ocean deoxygenation, oxygen minimum zones, monsoon variability, and the environmental history of the ocean. The flyer also highlights work with rock magnetic, geochemical, and microscopic techniques to reconstruct past redox conditions and productivity changes.

Funding includes a monthly fellowship of ₹27,500 for the first 6 months, ₹34,000/month for years 1–2, and ₹38,500/month for year 3. The fellowship also provides APC support for publications and a conference grant of up to ₹50,000. The duration is 3.6 years.

Eligible applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Geology, Marine Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geophysics, or Oceanography. A strong interest in research is encouraged. The post does not mention language-test waivers or other fee waivers.
