A fully funded PhD position is available in the research group of Raymond Louie, Lecturer in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at UNSW Sydney. The project centers on developing novel computational and statistical algorithms to identify molecular drivers of cellular evolution using single-cell multi-omics data. Key research themes include single-cell multi-omics, cellular evolution and state transitions, and bioinformatics algorithm and method development. The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, mathematical modeling, statistics, bioinformatics, or related fields, with strong programming skills in Python or R and a keen interest in developing new methods for biological discovery.
