Join a fully funded PhD opportunity at the University of Passau in the DFG Research Training Group Digital Platform Ecosystems (DPE). The position is hosted at the Chair of Organisation, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship and focuses on digital platform ecosystems, AI governance, open-source platforms, and innovation activities of platform actors.

This is a doctoral researcher opening, not a postdoctoral or master's call. The role is a part-time 75% TV-L E13 position with full funding, social security and healthcare contributions. The programme is structured to support completion of the PhD in about three years, and it also includes a funded research visit abroad, conference participation, a research budget, and support from student research assistants.

Applicants should hold an excellent Master’s degree in business administration, economics, information systems, or a related field. The post seeks candidates with strong interest in platform governance, AI platform ecosystems, and innovation on digital platforms. Analytical ability is important, and experience with empirical-quantitative research methods is preferred. Excellent English is required; German is not required.
