About this position

Fully funded PhD position in perovskite solar cells at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland.

The project is part of an NCN OPUS research grant and focuses on the effects of ionizing radiation and UV light on next-generation perovskite solar cells. The work will be carried out in the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at Adam Mickiewicz University in a modern laboratory environment.

Research interests and techniques: perovskite thin-film and device fabrication, glovebox-based processing, radiation and UV stability, charge transport and recombination dynamics, and advanced optoelectronic characterization. Available methods include UV–Vis, PL, XRD, SEM, I–V, EQE, impedance spectroscopy, Voc decay, transient absorption spectroscopy, thermal cycling, and more.

Funding: 5000 PLN gross/month for the first two years and 6500 PLN gross/month after positive mid-term evaluation. The position lasts 4 years.

Eligibility: Applicants should hold an MSc degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. A strong interest in photovoltaics, optoelectronics, and materials science is expected, along with good English skills and motivation for experimental research. If the MSc diploma does not confirm English proficiency at B2 level or higher, an appropriate English language certificate is required.
