A fully funded PhD position in neuroimmunology is available at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany, within the Institute of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis (INIMS). The research focuses on investigating the neuronal response to inflammation in multiple sclerosis (MS) and its animal models, integrating immunological, neurobiological, genetic, and systems biology approaches. The doctoral candidate will join a graduate school offering structured supervision and an internationally oriented curriculum.

Applicants should have a master's degree or diploma in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, or a related life science field. Required skills include practical experience in cell biology, biochemical, or molecular biology techniques, and a strong interest in translational immunological and neurobiological research. Preferred qualifications include experience with cell culture, laboratory animal handling (FELASA B certification), and basic bioinformatics (e.g., R). Proficiency in English and MS Office is necessary. Employment requires proof of immunization or immunity against measles.
