Fully-Funded PhD Scholarships in Software Supply Chain at University of Auckland University of Auckland in New Zealand

We are excited to announce 2 fully-funded PhD scholarships at the University of Auckland focusing on software supply chains. The projects aim to identify and mitigate threats in software supply chains through innovative research methodologies. The successful candidates will work on two distinct projects: one focusing on proof-of-vulnerability test generation and the other on reproducible builds and binary equivalence.

The first project will explore build variability across ecosystems like Java and JavaScript, aiming to develop methods for reproducible builds. The second project will enhance vulnerability analysis accuracy by synthesizing witnesses to confirm exploitability of detected vulnerabilities using AI-driven techniques.

Supervision will be provided by a team of experienced academics from the University of Auckland and other institutions. The scholarships cover tuition fees and provide a living stipend, making this an excellent opportunity for aspiring researchers in the field.
