About this position

Fully funded PhD studentships are open for an October 2026 start at the University of Lincoln through the ENACT doctoral landscape award. The advertised projects focus on Environmental Monitoring and Sustainability, Data-economic Machine Learning and AI, and Energy Systems and Materials Innovation. Two example projects listed in the post are Early Detection of Mild Cognitive Impairment in Patients Using Self Supervised Learning Paradigm and Selective Multimodal Learning for Information-Efficient Clinical Decision Support.

These opportunities are for UK Home applicants only. Applicants who do not meet UK Home fee status/residency requirements cannot be considered for the funded studentships. The studentships are described as fully funded and last 3.5 years. No stipend amount is given in the post.

To apply, candidates should download the application form and email it to [email protected] together with official transcript(s) of the latest degree, transcript(s) of any previous degree(s), a current CV, and language certification if applicable and available. Applicants may apply for more than one project, but must submit a separate form for each project and indicate project preferences in the email.

The recruitment deadline is 12 June 2026. This is a strong fit for applicants interested in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, environmental science, materials science, and related interdisciplinary research.
