About this position
This PhD project focuses on investigating the haemodynamics of coronary arteries with tandem lesions and assessing their functional significance both experimentally and numerically. Under the supervision of Professor Shaun Gregory, the candidate will work within a collaborative environment alongside the Cardiovascular Research Group, with opportunities to engage closely with clinicians to enhance real-world applicability and impact.
Eligibility
You must:
- meet the entry requirements for a QUT Doctor of Philosophy , including any English language requirements
- enrol as a full-time, internal student (unless approval for part-time and/or external study is obtained)
- have a background in mechanical or biomedical engineering, expertise in fluid mechanics, benchtop experimental investigation, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling. Experience in biomedical research is highly regarded.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
