Funded PhD opportunity at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), in collaboration with The University of Oklahoma and the Irish Defence Forces.

The project, titled MISSION-READY, focuses on women’s health, fitness, and readiness in the Irish Defence Forces. It will use a mixed-methods approach to study recruitment, retention, fitness, injury risk, and psychosocial wellbeing among female recruits. The PhD will also co-design and evaluate a female-focused, physiology-informed training intervention and aims to generate the first national dataset on women’s health and performance in the defence sector.
