Funded postdoctoral fellow position available immediately in the lab of Dr. Christiane Wrann at the McCance Center for Brain Health, Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School.

The project focuses on how exercise benefits the brain, with an emphasis on the molecular mechanisms underlying protection in neurodegenerative disease and neuroinflammatory disease such as Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. The lab highlights interdisciplinary research at the interface of neuroscience, molecular biology, metabolism, advanced imaging, and single-cell RNA sequencing.

The position is suited to candidates with a recent Ph.D., M.D., and/or D.V.M. and strong experience in molecular biology and biochemical/cellular imaging methods. Experience with mouse physiology/behavior is a plus. Applicants should be highly motivated, independent, and able to communicate well in English.
