About this position

We are readvertising a funded PhD position in fungal genomics based at the Natural Resources Institute University of Greenwich.

This PhD focusses on:
Understanding the genetic basis of fungal-fungal interactions in biocontrol fungi
Identifying signatures of genetic exchange between strains through genomic analyses

This would be an excellent opportunity for a candidate with interests in bioinformatics, microbiology or plant pathology.

This a Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship, funded directly by the University of Greenwich. This would include a stipend for the student at UKRI student rates as well as a waiver of home-student tuition fees for 3-years. International applicants are welcome, who would benefit from tuition fees being reduced by home-student rates. Applications close on the 10th March, with us looking to recruit a student to start as soon as possible.

Funding details

Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
