About this position
Interdisciplinary Workshop on AI Safety at Newcastle University, organised through the Centre for AI Safety and the EPSRC National Edge Artificial Intelligence Hub.
This call invites expressions of interest to present at a workshop focused on AI safety, with emphasis on robustness, alignment, accountability, trustworthy AI, and the broader governance and societal impact of AI systems. The event is designed as a cross-disciplinary forum bringing together researchers and practitioners from computer science, engineering, social science, business, law, and philosophy, as well as industry professionals.
Contributions that connect technical and non-technical perspectives are especially welcome, particularly work grounded in real-world deployment contexts. The workshop aims to surface emerging research, practical challenges, and conceptual perspectives, and to identify shared questions and collaboration opportunities across disciplines.
Eligibility: open to academic researchers at all career stages, doctoral candidates, and industry practitioners.
