Lasalle | NHC and Northwest Hydraulic Consultants (NHC) are seeking two intermediate fluvial geomorphologists to join their teams in Quebec and British Columbia, Canada. These positions are ideal for candidates with a strong background in fluvial or coastal hydrogeomorphology, earth sciences, or physical geography, and who are interested in working on a diverse range of projects related to river and coastal processes, sediment transport, and environmental restoration.

The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing field campaigns, analyzing sediment transport and landscape evolution, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert advice on geomorphology issues in river management and restoration projects. Responsibilities also include project management, technical report writing, and contributing to business development and R&D activities. The roles offer the opportunity to work with a large team of geomorphologists and water resources professionals, participate in experimental and modeling studies, and collaborate with offices across North America, Brazil, and Asia.

Applicants must hold a Master's (MSc) or PhD in geomorphology, earth sciences, physical geography, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Advanced skills in statistical and quantitative data analysis, proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office Suite, and strong communication abilities in both French and English are required. Experience with field survey techniques, programming, numerical modeling, and consulting is considered an asset. Registration or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer or geoscientist in BC or Quebec, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments are essential. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Lasalle | NHC and NHC offer permanent, full-time positions with competitive salaries ranging from $105,000 to $130,000 CAD per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package and annual merit-based bonuses.
