I'm excited to share a fully funded PhD studentship in my research group at the School of Chemistry, The University of Edinburgh , in collaboration with experts from cardiovascular science, geosciences, and environmental health. The team is composed of Prof @Margaret Graham, Dr Mark R. Miller and Dr Marc-André Cormier .
?? The project investigates the environmental and human health impacts of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and toxic metals in a Canadian mining town – a real-world issue with global relevance.
?? The successful candidate will work across disciplines, combining: ?? Advanced analytical chemistry (MC-ICP-MS)
?? Ecotoxicology (zebrafish/murine models)
?? Epidemiology and health data analysis
You'll gain hands-on experience in lab and fieldwork, toxicology, public health research, and international collaboration – ideal for someone with a background in environmental science, chemistry, or toxicology who’s passionate about making a difference.
?? Funded for 42 months, starting 2025–26
?? Includes tuition and UKRI stipend (£20,780 p.a.)
