About this position

New PhD vacancy: Can we prevent the development of traumatic memory? With colleagues at Amsterdam UMC, Diakonessenhuis hospital, VieCuri Medisch Centrum, Utrecht University, Radboudumc, WijzijnMIND, and others, we will start a new study that will investigate if treatment with a low dose of the endogenous hormone cortisol in an early phase following trauma can prevent PTSD symptoms. We are now hiring a PhD student (to be employed at Amsterdam UMC) for this project who will be supervised by Christiaan Vinkers, Mirjam van Zuiden, David Baden, and myself. The project is further supported by Onno Meijer, Özcan Sir, Marit Sijbrandij, Dennis Barten, Benno Roozendaal and Cisca Goedhart. Due to the nature of the project, ability to speak Dutch is critical.
