Mahindra University in Hyderabad is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

The project is funded by ANRF–PMECRG and focuses on development of sustainable solid-state processes to recycle aluminium scrap for sheet metal applications. The research emphasizes tooling design, thermo-mechanical modelling, and metal forming, making it a strong fit for candidates interested in manufacturing, materials processing, and computational/mechanical analysis.

Eligibility: Applicants should hold B.E./B.Tech + M.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, CAD-CAM, or allied disciplines. Candidates awaiting results may also apply. Prior experience in FEA (Abaqus), tooling design, CNC/CAD/CAM, friction-based processes, and metal forming is preferred.

Funding: The fellowship is ₹37,000 per month. The announcement also notes that selected candidates may have the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at Mahindra University.
