Graduate Research Opportunity (MASc or PhD) in Civil Engineering at York University, Toronto, Canada.

Drs. Stephanie Gora and Liam Butler at York University's Lassonde School of Engineering are seeking a highly motivated MASc or PhD student for an interdisciplinary project on drinking water safety and water quality analysis in multi-unit rental housing in Southern Ontario.

Research areas and activities: civil engineering, environmental science, water quality, field sampling, laboratory testing, statistical analysis, and development of novel water quality sensor technologies. The project also includes peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and knowledge mobilization with stakeholders and the public.

Eligibility: applicants should have an undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or a closely related field. PhD applicants should also hold a research-based MASc or equivalent in a related field. Candidates must meet York University's GPA and English proficiency requirements. Strong communication skills, independence, and interest in engineering and water management are important. Field/lab experience and prior research output are assets.
