At Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF), the
Department of Modelling and Evaluation is looking for a PhD Student with
ideally a background in Spatial Stochastics for the development of methods for the mathematical and computational modelling of rock microstructure as well as for upscaling models for usage in reactive transport codes.
The position is for 3 years with 19,5 working hours per week (salary according to TVöD-Bund). The expected starting date is February 2025. The place of work is Freiberg (Saxony).
The HIF is part of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf ( www.hzdr.de ), through which a structured PhD programme and many other offerings relating to work, further education and networking are available.
