About this position

PhD applications are open in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur.

I am looking for motivated and passionate scholars to work with me starting in January session 2025.

Research areas: Shape/ topology optimization of thermal-fluid systems, Heat exchangers, Wake transitions, Nonlinear fluid dynamics, Fluid-structure interaction, CFD, wind tunnel experiments, transient techniques for estimating heat transfer coefficient.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work on both experimental and numerical techniques. Depending on their interest, they may also visit my collaborators' foreign labs. Candidates with a strong background in thermal fluids are highly encouraged to apply.
