Applicants are invited for fully funded “Master’s and PhD positions” in the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). Successful candidates will conduct research at the Marine Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (MAMCE), in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) of strategic alloys with significant industrial and scientific impact.
You will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team and collaborate closely with "national and international" industrial/scientific partners. Research activities may include:
· Advanced materials characterization and alloy design
· Novel post processing of printed materials
· Assessment of material performance under extreme condition
· Design, optimization, and innovation in LPBF process
- Eligibility & Requirements:
· Strong academic background in “Materials and Manufacturing” Engineering (or related fields)
· Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
· Experience in additive manufacturing (theory and/or practice) is an asset
· Demonstrated research excellence through publications, awards, or relevant work experience
