M.S. or Ph.D. Position in Aquatic Environmental Science, Water Quality, and Lake Ecosystems Cleveland State University in United States

Opportunity for an M.S. or Ph.D. student (Ph.D. preferred) in aquatic environmental science beginning Fall 2026.

The research focuses on water quality and ecosystem processes in large lake systems, with emphasis on hypoxia, biogeochemical cycling, and the impacts of environmental change. The project is well suited to students interested in fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and data analysis.

Funding includes a Research Assistantship (RA) for at least the first two years, with a competitive annual stipend, full tuition waiver, and health insurance. Continued support in later years may be available through Teaching Assistantships (TA), subject to satisfactory academic progress and performance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, biology, or a closely related field. Experience with programming such as R is desirable but not required.
