The Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University is launching a new Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) program in Data Science with an Environmental Health Concentration, starting in Fall 2026. This innovative two-year, in-person program is designed for students passionate about leveraging advanced data science skills to understand how environmental exposures impact human health. The curriculum covers core data science skills in coding and data management, advanced computational and statistical methods, exposure science, toxicology, and the intersection of environment and biology in health outcomes.

Students will complete 48 credit hours of full-time, in-person coursework, including R coding, database development and management, reproducible workflows, applied machine learning, toxicology, complex environmental exposures, exposomics, biological responses in health and disease, foundational public health knowledge, and hands-on applied experiences at the intersection of data science and environmental health.

All admitted students with verified and completed applications by January 5, 2026, will receive a guaranteed $30,000 funding package, which includes a $25,000 tuition scholarship and a $5,000 practicum stipend. This makes the program highly accessible for motivated students seeking strong training in two of public health’s fastest-growing fields.
